PBG team attends Western Australian Biosecurity Careers and Networking Event
The PBG team was recently invited to attend the 2026 Western Australian Biosecurity Careers and Networking Event. Hosted by Murdoch University’s Harry Butler Institute, the WA Biodiversity Science Institute (WABSI), and the WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC), The four-hour event included biosecurity presentations and Q&As, exploration of career pathways, networking, and refreshments. The invited speakers - Professor Hamid Laga, Associate Professor Kirsty Bayliss, and Dr Kylie Ireland – shared their diverse experiences and career pathways to tackling biosecurity threats in WA and beyond. PBG’s Ben, Brenton, Haylee, Ian, and Normandie all attended the event.
